ABOUT MARRIOTT PRIDE
Marriott Pride is a nationwide program designed for all Marriott International businesses and their associates. This initiative calls upon and enables all associates to work with their local Children's Miracle Network children's hospitals on grass roots fundraising efforts.
Marriott has always played a special role in helping to ensure that our communities thrive. Helping others, especially children, is an enduring value at Marriott. What inspires us is a philosophy that we've upheld for more than 75 years: the spirit to serve.

WHY PARTICIPATE?
 Good for Business
When you help kids in your area through Children's Miracle Network, you're helping your business too. Your fundraising efforts can help build a positive public image, improve customer loyalty, increase morale, and strengthen your business ties to the community.
Make a Difference
As a Marriott associate participating in Marriott Pride, you will feel proud of your efforts because Children's Miracle Network is truly a local charity. All funds raised by your Marriott business will directly benefit the children treated at your local Children's Miracle Network hospital. Marriott Pride provides a wonderful opportunity for you to get involved and make a difference in the lives of children needing medical care in your community...maybe even someone you know.
Associate Recognition
Talk with your General Manager to create your own internal recognition program for associates who raise the most dollars, or come up with the best fundraising ideas. This is a great way to promote your event and motivate associates. Some ideas from other Marriott businesses are preferred parking, paid time off, weekend stay at a Marriott property, letter of recognition or a spotlight in your business newsletter. Plaques, certificates and many other items are available from Children's Miracle Network. Contact your local Children's Miracle Network director for information about awards.

This commitment reflects our genuine wish to give something back to the thousands of places around the world that we call home and helping children is a great way to get involved and make a difference.
We proudly support Children's Miracle Network, an organization that has raised over $2 billion, for 171 Children's Miracle Network children's hospitals throughout North America. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, J. Willard Marriott, Jr. became the first corporate sponsor and also served as a member of their Board of Trustees. Steve Weisz, President of Marriott Vacation Club International, currently serves on Children's Miracle Network's Board of Governors. Each year, Marriott sponsors two hours of the Annual Children's Miracle Celebration.
Marriott's early sponsorship helped lend credibility to Children's Miracle Network. In 1993, Marriott Pride was created to give our associates an opportunity to get involved and help raise money for the children in their communities. Our donations doubled that first year and have been climbing ever since.
Families have always come first at Marriott, and nothing is more rewarding than making sure Children's Miracle Network hospitals are better able to help every day. We thank our associates, guests, customers and neighbors for all their support. We look forward to continuing a long and healthy relationship of celebrating miracles and helping Children's Miracle Network children's hospitals help kids!
